FIA cybercrime wing Balochistan launched crackdown against anti-state propaganda



ISLAMABAD, Dec 02:A positive Head of Director Imran Mehmood led the FIA Cybercrime Wing Balochistan Zone to launch a number of effective operations against elements of anti-state propaganda which are being sprung out on social media. A team of special agents was configured to both examine and track social media accounts to detect suspicious activities. A method that integrates the use of advanced technology, this team is thus, successful in detecting Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok, as well as other such platforms that possibly are/may be involved in anti-state propaganda as disloyal subjects. The Cyber Crime Wing of the Balochistan has over the last three months deciphered as many as by924 social media accounts that were involved in sharing the anti-state content on Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and so on. These accounts on Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter have components that respectively number 487, 190, and 147. Instagram account numbers are 88; other applications have 12. Furthermore, fourteen cases of inquiry have been made and investigations are in attendance against the offenders of the state. From the overall amount of 924 accounts, 312 Social Media accounts have already been so-to-speak "marked" as blocked by the PTA, while 607 others are set or still in process yet, to be obstructed by the same PTA.
